Solana Beach Real Estate and Homes

Solana Beach (92075) was originally home to the California Indians as far back as 9,000 B.C. Since then the Spanish passed through on their way to Monterey in 1769, and the first American homesteader took up residence in 1862. Development accelerated with the building of the Lake Hodges dam in 1918 making water readily available. It eventually was promoted as an avocado growing region.
 

The city was incorporated in 1986 and has approximately 14,000 residents. The diverse community is home to many artisans, high tech businesses and professionals.
